So... crazy.
so wow. reading over my last post i realize exactly how crazy the last month has been.
hoooomeless: the DAY after i wrote that last post we packed up a moving van and Lauren went to sign for our new apartment. The landlord ended up being sick and not showing up and, through a series of events and decisions, we no longer had anywhere to move. So we moved into a spare room at the smiths (a staff couple near us) And, for a week, we lived there with the smiths, their almost two year old son Everett, and their cat that had two broken front legs. A week later the smiths left for a month long break in the States (long term missionaries with Cru do that once a year or so) and now us four girls are living there.
woah. but for me, it was cool to see the attitudes of all my roommates during this. we laughed a lot, and even thought about moving into the storage unit we had to put all of our furniture into. i'm so blessed to have a team i can laugh with. (note to self: even packing up a moving van and driving aimlessly around rome being newly homeless is not so stressful when the Lord is taking care of you)
Visa update: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'll be hoooooooooome for Christmaaaaaaaaas. Monday we'll be flying home (well, to a hotel in Chicago) to work on our Visa situation and the Italian embassy there. That will also require some extra support raising while I'm home. which brings us to....
the dreaded finances: in addition to the money i'll need to raise to be home to get a visa i also recently found out that some of the support that was pledged didn't come through. please pray that the Lord would provide the finances for me to continue to do ministry in bella roma :)
thanks for keeping updated... oh! and please pray for our thanksgiving outreach on thursday!!
